This is a muscular timepiece, it weighs 9+ ounces (over half a pound), it feels and exudes dignity and is bound to illicit a glance and a double take. The domed double opposing glare sapphire crystal is super sharp and sometimes hard to decide it is even there.

The exterior is a combination of brushed and polished stainless steel, most importantly the trademark Omega horns are this blended finish.

The screw down crown is ornament with the Omega logo and easy to open, the first position enables manual winding for a power boost, the helium do a disappearing act valve at 10:00 is adorned with the periodic symbol "He".

Clockwise turns of the tiara in second position adjusts the date forward, the date can't be adjusted back to front. Time adjustment is easy and rapid; no adjustment for seconds is present.

The unidirectional bezel rotates counter clockwise 120 clicks and words up perfectly with every second marker, the solid feel of the rotation is nothing less than you'd calculate from an Omega.

THE A-one SUMMER WATCH I EVER OWNED
I due love OMEGA timepieces. Not only do they offer the best balance between cost and distinction but they are beautifully designed, striking that perfect chord of understated suavit and timid power. It is like going slow while driving a sinew car.

This PLANET OCEAN SEAMASTER is just gorgeous. The faceplate is easy to read under all position (the domed sapphire-crystal is double anti-glare and the tritium hands and numerals magnificently luminescent). The bad-tempered-stainless steel-offwhite-orange theme is perfectly hovering and it will compliment most outfits.

My advice: buy the steel-band version and, at the same everything, order the rubber strap (it is usually cheaper than ordering a protect band later on its own). You may need to visit your jeweler whenever you will decide to twitch between the bands but for a small price you will essentially have two completely different-looking watches.

On a planet of modify, in a desert of cities, under the canopy of the stars this is what should keep time.

Exercise caution Anti Glare coating SCRATCHES !
Only 2 stars for this attend to. While i do not own this particular brand, i do own a Planet Ocean 2200.50.00 which has the DOUBLE ANTI Brightness ( anti glare on inside and outside of crystal ). The take heed of looks great, no complaints about that.

Take note before you buy any of these watches from Omega that have the Double opposing glare. THEY SCRATCH EASILY !! Mine scratched after 2 months and Omega will not guarantee it. In fact, if you go to their website, they don't even have a customer service number and it states this:

"Due to the tidy interest shown in the OMEGA brand, our staff is answering an unprecedented number of inquiries. Therefore, you should have a response time of at least four weeks. We thank you for your patience and understanding." ONLY THROUGH EMAIL

I note that after spending $4000 on a watch, that they should replace it or at least re-imburse the cost. They do not and will not, so you are stuck with a scratched pocket watch.

Save your bucks and get a ROLEX or Tag. Customer service on these Omega's are NILL !

Last regard you'll ever need -- or want
I bought this of for it's striking appearance and the flawless professional reputation of the maker. I presume from other reviews here on Amazon and got it for an amazing price. After about a month of having tattered it, I can honestly say it's my fave of all the watches in my collection (others being a Rolex, Tag and Swiss Followers). The face is huge, the luminous hands and markers involve light forever. I can see it clearly day or night. It is largely silent and keeps masterful time. I can honestly say it is the last watch I'll ever buy - having found perfection in a timepiece and fact d'arte.

Watchmakers Admonition
I am rather pigheaded when it comes to luxury watches. This comes from spending 2 years in watchmaking ready, studying directly under the guidance of a certified master swiss watchmaker who came here from Europe. Watches, outstandingly mid to high grade swiss watches, are a passion of mine. I am not loyal to a characterize or a style or anything else. I judge them for what they are, in terms of quality, function, construction, and shape. A watchmakers point of view.

This said I will tell you that this particular wait for is what I consider to be a "best kept secret" sort of watch. This is an Self-regulating watch (read: Mechanical - NOT Quartz), and of CHRONOMETER grade use. Chronometer as used here is a measure of accurate timekeeping, not quality - a dot often misunderstood - and is used mostly from a marketing point of view by companies such as Rolex. HOWEVER. This activity in THIS watch is actually EXCELLENT in terms of quality, time keeping skill, and construction - easily comparable to other Swiss made movements from other famous manufacturers costing several times as much. This shield, properly serviced, will provide a lifetime of use - and probably more. Absolutely the off one's feed of watch you pass down to the next generation.

All in all - and EXCELLENT choice - especially for those seeking their first Eminence Swiss watch purchase.

Value the asking price!
1. First of all, buy from an Fit Dealer. I don't think Amazon is an AD and therefore you may not get the warranty from Omega.
2. There has been a price increase this year. This look after is pushing $4000 retail now.
3. There is 1 AD i know of that will sell for this price that Amazon has. Go to your district AD, show them you are serious, and ask for a discount.

Having said that, the watch itself is brilliant. Looks terrific on my paw, works well with formal clothing or with business casual. Keeps correct time well and just feels and looks like quality. Looks more novel than anything Rolex has to offer and is certainly on par with Rolex on build quality.

Assuredly worth the buy in my opinion.

You may need to visit your jeweler whenever you will decide to thrash between the bands but for a small price you will essentially have two completely different-looking watches.

On a planet of profligately, in a desert of cities, under the canopy of the stars this is what should keep time.

Overall, I'd recommend this watch for anyone who wants an exquisite caper timepiece which isn't out of place at a formal, like all of the Omegas made before it; I expect this attend to endure for my grandchildren and their grandchildren.

Watches like the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean?

Q: Hi everyone, I in fact like the look of the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean, with the Orange Crocodile Leather strap and 45mm expression.

It's a great looking watch and i know Omega make weird timepieces.

My question is, at the best part of £2000 (£1800 if you're lucky) it's a bit outrageous for me. Are there any other watches that look similar for half the price? When i say alike resemble, i mean, just as bulky, but without the jazz, i.e. Diamante bezels or suspect chrono. I like the bulk, but i don't want the Breitling.

Simple is the key. I appreciate anyones help in advance.
