    Vast investment!
I bought my observant of of this type 10 years ago. I have very thin wrists, and the mid-size is just face. Keeps great time, looks good with suits (10 years ago) and sports jackets/slacks in function today. Several new batteries over the years, but no other maintenance. It was a good investment 10 years ago, and I'd paid about $1000 for it then.

Big Term Review of Omega Constellation in Stainless
I have a much nearer version of this watch -- about 25 years earlier. So why am I column this review? Simply put, when someone creates a truly classic, high nobility design, it is timeless. After 25 years, this watch has never failed. The proves and bracelet have their little scratches -- I just call that "patina." Otherwise it looks angelic as new. Call this a "long-term ownership" review.

I do not know if the features of my protect are the same as the newer one, but here are my Pros and Cons:

    PROS:

    1. Timeless design as indicated above.
    2. Reliability.
    3. The hour readily available can be adjusted without disturbing the minute and second hands -- of use for traveling
and DST changes. (This is done via a three position stem.)
    4. As I recall, the time preciseness spec for my watch is +/- 10 seconds per year. Mine normally holds 7-10
seconds for the time of its battery which is about 2.5 years.
    5. It is thin enough to not interfere with cuffs on long sleeve shirts.

    CONS:

    1. None.

By the way, it is satiating to see that the watch which listed at $600 when I bought it now lists for around $1700.

I would recommend this alert for to anyone looking for one in this price range.
    Cool yet elegant watch
This Omega is exclusive but not flashy. It's elegant but understated. It fits well on a man who is not big or tall.
    Incomparable Simple Time piece
I bought this safeguard for my husband and it is just wonderful.

It is sleek and beautiful. So many men's watches are gargantuan and clunky with too many dials or fancy doo-dads.

This one is classic elegance, and very versital - Titanic to wear to the office or just bumming about :).

    Watchmakers Suggestion
I am rather inflexible when it comes to luxury watches. This comes from spending 2 years in watchmaking day-school, studying directly under the guidance of a certified master swiss watchmaker who came here from Europe. Watches, outstandingly mid to high grade swiss watches, are a passion of mine. I am not loyal to a brand or a flair or anything else. I judge them for what they are, in terms of quality, function, construction, and style. A watchmakers thought of view.

This said I will tell you that this particular watch is what I consider to be a "first-rate kept secret" sort of watch. This is an AUTOMATIC watch (comprehend: Mechanical - NOT Quartz), and of CHRONOMETER grade function. Chronometer as hardened here is a measure of accurate timekeeping, not quality - a point often misunderstood - and is second-hand mostly from a marketing point of view by companies such as Rolex. HOWEVER. This movement in THIS clock is actually EXCELLENT in terms of quality, time keeping facility, and construction - easily comparable to other Swiss made movements from other famous manufacturers costing several times as much. This mind, properly serviced, will provide a lifetime of use - and probably more. Absolutely the combine of watch you pass down to the next generation.

All in all - and EXCELLENT choice - especially for those seeking their first Characteristic Swiss watch purchase.

    Automatic Inspect Movement
An automatic watch is self-winding, and its movement has a on tap that must be at least partially filled prior to being worn. This is done by shaking and winding the timepiece manually. In on the blink for an automatic timepiece to keep a reserve, it must be worn daily for 8 hours of functioning wear.

    The Omega Story
The Omega watch story begins in 1848, when institutor Louis Brandt began hand assembling key-wound rigour pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen in his principality La Chaux-de-Fonds, in the northwest question of Switzerland. However, the Omega name didn't appear until 1894, after Louis Brandt had passed somewhere else and his watchmaking traditions were taken over by his sons, Louis-Paul and Cesar Brandt. Omega watches have yearn been associated with glamorous screen and sports stars--the Omega Seamaster is acclaimed for being the watch of choice for James Bond--with current ambassadors including Touch Brosnan, Nicole Kidman, tennis player Anna Kournikova, and swimmers Michael Phelps and Ian Thorpe.

But Omega is more than honest a fashionable watch. In 1965, the Omega Speedmaster chronograph was "flight-conditional by NASA for all manned space missions" as the only wristwatch to have withstood all of the U.S. align agency's severe tests, including passing grades for abnormal shocks, vibrations, and temperatures ranging from -18 to +93 degrees Celsius. The top moment in the Speedmaster's history was undoubtedly 20 July 1969 at 02:56 GMT, when it recorded man's first steps on the Moon's integument as part of the Apollo 11 mission. Today, Omega is known for its rigorous testing of new movements, cases, and bands. Each new Omega advance is tested on the wrist in existing Omega models, while various laboratory tests are conducted to govern temperature-resistance, shock-resistance and vibration-resistance.

    Omega Constellation
This is an other than watch and I could buy it in time before stock ran out in Amazon.
A abundant watch at unbeatible price from amazon
I only be I did not buy it soon enough when it was only $1,290. I went to the stores in the mall to check out this inspect and I finally decided to buy it on Amazon. However, when I purchased it, the price has increased $70 (which is still over $200 cheaper than any of the stores I tried to covenant with and I am usually a very tough bargainer). The item arrived in two days which is a friendly surprise. I thought it was going to take a week because I chosed the free shipping alternative. The watch is very well packaged and it looks great. All my coworkers liked it. I will entirely buy another good watch from Amazon again.

    Already returned......
The consequence for this watch is good, after I received the watch, the gift package is unreservedly nice too, but, until I opened the small bag and took the watch out, I was rather disappointed, the whole shield just does not like new, compared with the one I bought from department trust in, and I found that there were two very long scratches on the band. I mailed it back yesterday and paid 10 bucks for the postage, contemplate I could get refund soon.
    Look out the perpetual Calendar!
I have an instance of this bought 7 years ago. It is a very nice watch and looks great; BUT it has been very uncertain (unlike my 30+ year old Seamaster).

The problem seems to be that, whilst the timekeeper is quartz, the repetitive calendar is for some strange reason purely mechanical. Nevertheless it worked bonzer for 5 years; but then it started to drop occasional days. Omega (or Swatch who officially try to adjustment Omegas in the UK!) originally sent it back as fine, but the shop returned it to them since it had already slipped another day! They then 'unchangeable' it - but within a month the whole mechanism froze. They then 'fixed' it again - but the crown wheel gladly fell off, then the strap broke... This took nearly a year(about 5-6 weeks per rotate) but after vast expenditure (not far from the cost of a new watch) it did work again - for two years! But now it drops odd natural life again! They now suggest that I spend another £190 on a 'service' (after only 2 years); but I feel I would rather fare with a non-working calendar!

Of course I have suggested to Omega/Swatch that they might like to fix this decently at their expense but they are remarkably unhelpful - perhaps the cost of service is too large a profit rise! (they suggest a £190 - $350 - service every 4 years anyway even if the watch lasts that elongated without faults).
Famed watch at a fair price
I bought this care for to sub for my Omega Constellation that had to go to the repair facility for a new band. I purchased the original watch in 1983, and I have the worse for wear it almost every day since then. These watches are almost indestuctible, reliably water resistant, and keep nearly entire time. The only down side is the need to send them to the factory repair facility for upkeep, which can take up to 2 or 3 months round trip. Most jewelry stores won't work on them except to shift the battery. Highly recommended.

Merry quality watch with lowest price!!
This is my in the second place Omega watch the first being a 1968 Constellation. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Constellation Double eagle was to hand. My '68 Constellation is in perfect running order and has been a joy to own. It was passed down to me by my family. When I saw the affordable rate from Amazon for the 2500 Co-Axial movement, I could not pass it up. This watch keeps righteous time just like the '68 and looks so much better in woman than the picture. The champagne face is actually a classic gold feel embarrassed..very tasteful. This, along with the 1968 Constellation will be passed along for generations to come.
