Barren Long-Term Quality
I premeditated buying this watch and asked a good friend who owns one. He said his shield stopped working after 5 yrs. Cartier said the watch has to be sent in for preventive sustention every 3-5 yrs at a cost of $700. I don't think I want to spend $5000 on a alert for where I need to fork over $700 every 3 years. I went ahead and bought an Omega as an alternative.

Broke Quality for the money
i have had this be vigilant for for a few years now and have had it sent back to the factory twice. Currently i am having a very contrary time pulling the crown out of the watch to set the time and date. I would not promote this watch for the money.

Cartier meets Relic
There is no paucity of praise for this watch. And that is the problem. This is a mass advertised watch distinct from other Cartiers of the past. The result? Any status conscious person with a job is buying one and making this Cartier a ordinary sight. One of the things that makes Cartier watches special, besides the understated politesse is that they are less ubiquitous than Rolex. Not anymore. Also, this model is a little too bulky looking for my drop in a Cartier; Breitling and Rolex maybe, Cartier, no.

Wonderful Awesome Watch
So I have been reading some dissentious reviews about this watch on-line and I want to set the record straight. First of all, the feeling turns heads. It is simple, yet perfect. It's not so big (light those obnoxious Breitling watches with 6 knobs) that it feels uncomfortable or glaring. If you are willing to pop down $5000 for a watch, this is the one for you. Although it scratches easily, the Cartier Roadster really is a everlasting classic.

Excellent Observation
I received this chaperon as a graduation present. In person it is far more impressive than the Rolex Daytona Chrono, many Panerai's, and the Zenith El Primero XXT Chrono. It is quite large and gets noticed well. Also, the unique ability to change bands in an instant allows this follow to be perfect for any occasion. I highly recommend the many different colored crocodile bands close by seperately, over the standard steel bracelet or leather band. A heads up to developing buyers, purchasing this watch outside of Cartier means that Cartier's lifetime assurance does not apply.

a looker
Had a Rolex Submariner and obviously consider the Cartier Roadster Chrono a trade up. I get tons of compliments on the watch. Amazon's assess is excellent (haven't seen a new one lower), altho I purchased from a townswoman jeweler for the customer service aspect ($6200).

Zealous Watch
I got this take care of as a college graduation gift from my parents. It is a really great keep safe with a very modern design. I like the squarish face and it is not very common untypical Rolex's. It does indeed sratch easily so you have to be careful with that. Other then that it is a great vigil that gets noticed. Cartier makes great watches and from my experience this is no umbrage at.

Cartier Roadster
Bought this guard at Saks for 5800 approx. and due to platinum status I also get a 6% end of year compensation. No tax. This price is awfully close to it, and the watch is great. Does damage easily like all buffed stainless steel watches.
